Hey guys I did this remix around 3 and a half years ago! I found the link yesterday. In all honesty I am not sure what I feel about it now. but anyway enjoy!


Remixer Notes
for this remix, I wanted to recreate a sound similar to Angeliques's songs on her previous album Black Ivory Soul. i.e a fusion of funk guitar riff and some hard hitting drums. This remix only utiilizes Angelique Kidjo's and Peter Gabriel Vocal parts, as the rest of the music tracks were in a different time signature.

Tim Rimbui is a Kenyan record producer and songwriter who has worked with many prominent Kenyan and East African artists, as well international record companies and is generally thought of as one of the leading music producers in Kenya. With the foresight of being creative, innovative and unique he chose the moniker Ennovator, which would best describe his sound and approach to songwriting and music production.

He studied music in high school – Nairobi School and later at St. Mary’s School, Nairobi. He also received music training in theory and recording from Wisseloord Studios and The Rock Academy in the Netherlands during an exchange program run by the Sarakasi Trust. Tim’s first experience in music production was as an assistant sound engineer at Rough Cuts Productions and later at Samawati Productions as a sound engineer/producer. In 2004 Tim Rimbui left Samawati to partner with Kora Award winner and one of Africa’s top World Music artists Eric Wainaina and Sheba Hirst to form Enkare Studios, one of Nairobi’s successful recording studios
He has written and produced songs for 3 Kora Award Winning artists: Neema Ntalel – Best East African Artist Category (2005); Kaz – Most Promising Female Artist Category (2005); and DNG – Best Gospel Artist Category (2004), these awards account for half the Kora awards, received by Kenyan Artists since the prestigious awards show’s inception! He has also received 6 nominations for the Producer of the year at the Kisima Music Awards.

In 2007 he partnered with Wandiri Karimi to form EnnovatorMusic Ltd, a Production Company that undertakes writing, producing and recording for bands and solo musicians, as well as music production and scoring for film, radio, television. They later went ahead and formed EnnovatorMusic Publishing in 2008 after signing an agreement with Sheer Publishing Company in South Africa which handles all the intellectual property rights for published works as well as handling world wide publishing agreements for other musicians keen to protect their original compositions.

His passion for the excellence in performance arts led him to form Kinanda Arts Festival, an annual showcase of wholesome live entertainment, where he is the the Festival Director.
